With that out of the way, let’s dive in!

Hey blog readers! Today, I'm going to blog about how blog owners can make extra money on the side.

1. Decide what you want to blog about

This is very important! Decide on what you want to blog about before starting your side hustle. For example, I am a makeup blogger, so that's my main focus of blogging. It will be hard if you're not into makeup at all and just want to start a side hustle making money from home. So choose what you're most passionate about and stick with it.

2. Choose a niche.

This is a very important step in blogging, especially if you want to make some side income on the blog. You have to choose a specific niche. For example, I am a "minimalist" blogger. This means that I blog about what it means to be a minimalist and how you can be one, etc. In this case, I have chosen a niche that caters to teens and young adults. So my audience is obviously going to be within this age range of 13-20 years old.

3. Find the time to work on it

The more time you put in, the more likely you'll see results. You have to be committed when starting a side hustle blog. Because if you're not passionate about it, it won't work out when you put in all your time and effort into it. So start working on the blog 3-4 hours per day for at least 5-6 months to see results. Don't expect to just start blogging and be good effortlessly!

4. Build up momentum and keep going!

This is a very important step in making your side business successful. You have to keep going even when you feel like giving up. This is what separates those who make money blogging from those who don't. When you start a side business blogging, it takes time to see any success at all, even for months or a year! And most people quit after a month or two because they don't see any progress and think that it isn't working out.

5. Create an income stream from home by starting a side hustle today!

This is the step where you actually start a side business blogging and make money blogging from home. There are a lot of ways to do this, but here are the ways I have found to be the most successful for me!

  1.  Sell your own products on your blog.

My favorite way to making extra income from my blog is by selling my own products. For example, I personally make my very own makeup brushes and sell them on my blog. I also sell different makeup brush cases. This way of making money blogging is not for everyone because you have to be good at something like painting or drawing to make your own products at home. This is how you can create an income stream from home by starting a side hustle.

  1.  Start an affiliate program

Another way of making money blogging is by starting an affiliate program or business on your blog. For example, I have a blog post all about how to start an affiliate program to make money blogging . If you aren't sure what this means, it's basically sending people to different websites and giving them a percentage of their purchase if they click on your link. For example, if someone purchases something like makeup or brushes from my blog, I receive a commission because I'm an affiliate. It's quite simple and doesn't take up much time.

  1.  Advertise your blog on other websites

Another way of making extra income from blogging is by advertising your blog on other websites. The most common way to do this is by posting ads and affiliate links on social media sites like Facebook and Twitter. For example, if you're a makeup blogger, you can advertise your blog on any beauty related groups and pages online. However, I don't recommend doing this because it's really not very effective or professional. You can try this out as a last resort if you don't want to make money blogging on your blog.

  1.  Stop by affiliate programs and sell your own product!

This is probably the easiest way of making extra income from blogging! All you have to do is choose a product that you want and then find an affiliate program that sells it and start selling it on your blog. You can do this just about anything: clothes, furniture, cosmetics, etc.

6. What are some good side hustles that people can start with minimal investment of money or time (e-commerce, freelancing, etc.)

There are a lot of opportunities out there for those who want to make money blogging. Some good ones that I think everyone should consider doing are:

  • E-commerce (selling products online) or other creative services (like graphic design, photography, etc. depending on your skill level).

  • Freelancing (making money on the side through freelancing) or other creative services (like writing, or editing).

  • Other creative services (like professional photography, stylist, make-up artist). How To Start A Side Hustle and Make Money From Home (This Is For Anyone!) Academy

I'm not going to lie, starting a blog is hard. But it's worth it! In order to help you get started on the right foot, we've compiled some of our best blogging tips for beginners. These will take you from "lost and confused" to "ready and confident." Keep reading for everything that you need to know about how to start your website today.

WordPress

One of the most popular blogging platforms to use, WordPress is an application that allows you to create posts, pages, and customized templates. It's exceptionally easy to set up and offers a wide range of templates that you can use in your posts. It's also free! This platform is well known in the blogging world because it's used by many major blogs to this day.

Themes

A theme is a collection of customizations and themes that you can use to create your structure. You can further customize the features and look of your website by purchasing different templates or even plugins. For example, if you wanted to make your blog more visually appealing, you could use a theme that changes the general layout of your site. Each theme also has its own functions, allowing you to customize the functions within the site.

Beginner Themes

Blog themes are commonly used for beginners because they are easy to use and offer a wide range of functions. These are rated by their learning curve! A great beginner theme is Divi themes. This theme has a clean, white design. It features a drag and drop image composer, which allows you to easily upload images without having to learn how to code. You can also have multiple sidebars, allowing you to have more space for additional content.

Advanced Themes

Advanced themes are used by bloggers who are looking for more advanced functions. These themes are typically used by professional bloggers who want to give their website an original look. Popular advanced themes include Studio Press's Genesis

Website Developer

If you're looking to grow your blog even further, you'll want to hire a website developer. A website developer will create your website for you, making sure that it's user-friendly and perfectly tailored for your needs. When choosing a company, take into consideration their experience with blogging and whether or not they have worked with other users in the past. If they have, look to see if they have positive reviews or recommendations through their portfolio.

Hosting

When it comes to hosting your blog, you have a few key options that you can look into. The first one being a hosted site. If you already have a domain name and have a blog, this is definitely one route to consider. Hosted sites take care of all of your technical issues so you don't have to worry about it. It's quick and easy! You can buy hosting from services such as Cloudways.

Conclusion

These blogging tips will take you from lost and confused to ready and confident. Now that you know how to start a blog, you're one step closer to creating your own website! Are there any other blogging tips that we left out? If so, make sure to leave your ideas in the comment section below!

You're blogging. You're blogging all the time. It's a part of your life now and you can't imagine what it would be like to not blog every day. Blogging is so much more than just blogging; blogging is a lifestyle, blogging is an extension of who you are as a person - blogging defines who you are! How do I know this?

I want to share my best tips for being productive while blogging with those who are new or thinking about starting their own blog because there's nothing better than succeeding alongside someone else on this journey together.

1. Make sure you're focused on the reader

You want to figure out what your blog article will do for that person and nothing else. If it's an act of kindness and not a blatant advertisement but that's not advertised either, then okay, but most blogs have an idea behind it and are designed to be helpful. What you're thinking is something like, "I want to teach people how to make their lives better with this information."

2. It must be useful and actionable

This goes along with the first tip. If you're reading a blog article and at the end of it (or sometime before then) you have no idea how to implement what the author just said, then they failed at their job. By failing at their job, they've made themselves useless and it's not an option.

3. Design yourself for success

Don't believe me? Take a look around the internet. People who have blogs have a knack for designing them in a way that attracts people (with great photos, writing that pops) and helps them succeed. You want to attract readers, but if you're not attractive (in design and in writing) then nobody will want to read your article.

4. Go with the flow

I said that your blog has to go along with the flow; you don't want it to be something odd that people won't understand. You want something that will connect with people, help them and make them feel better after reading your article because it's related to their lives. This is where you become a teacher of sorts. You have to figure out what information you're giving before you create it and when you create it, make sure it's correct and easy for the reader to understand.

5. You have to work on the writing itself

You have to make sure that what you're writing is correct because if it's incorrect, you'll make yourself look bad and no one wants to read that. You have to make sure that your words are precise and easy for people to understand. Also, don't skimp when it comes to how much of the article is devoted; no one wants an entire article on the front page that takes them through how to tie perfect shoelaces.

6. Make sure you have a schedule

You need to have an idea of what you're doing and where you're going. It might sound stupid, but it's true. You can't just wake up one day and say, "I'm going to do this blog article." Instead, you need to pick out a certain time period, figure out what that period of time is made for, and then write every single day at that time. It's the best way to get things done.

7. Read what everyone else is doing

If you're thinking about starting a blog, then take a look at other blogs and read their articles. You might find some ideas you haven't thought of yet, which will help you out immensely if your blog is just starting to catch on or completely flop.

8. Automate your writing to perfection

You have to make sure that you're consistent, especially if you're thinking of doing this every day. If you're finding that it's taking too much time on a week-to-week basis, then something is wrong. You have to make sure that everything is automated so that when you get to Monday morning, you can sit down and get right into it without any problems. You have to make sure that everything is planned out before you even start this; otherwise, you'll run into problems.

9. Secure the perfect domain

The perfect domain for your blog is the one that's easy to remember and easy to type. You want something that's memorable because it has to stand out. There's nothing more annoying than looking at a blog that someone thinks is their own, but when you go to review it, it tells you "www.yourdomainhere.com" (rather than "yourdomainhere.com").

Conclusion

If you still have questions about starting a blog, then feel more than free to contact me anytime. I'm writing this blog every day and depending on what the subject is, it can be difficult. I hope that this article helps you because I don't want anyone to be a passive reader of my articles; I want to help people with their lives and that's exactly what blogging is all about - helping people live better lives.

Content creators, small business owners, and entrepreneurs always have questions about how to make their content go viral. They want to know what the best practices are for getting more views, likes, shares, comments- you name it! But there is a lot of conflicting information out there which makes it difficult for them to figure out what they should do.

While you can learn tons from Youtube, blog posts, newsletters, contacts, and podcasts- the best way to learn a skill and concept is best learned through an online course.

5 Benefits to taking an online course

Taking an online course is beneficial on multiple fronts, here are just a couple of reasons why.

1. IMMEDIATE RESULTS

Online courses are the best way to learn how to use technology. They allow you to get instant feedback on what you are teaching or learning. This immediate feedback is essential for learning.

2. LEARN FROM GREAT TEACHERS AND COMPANIES

In an online course, you have direct access to experts and companies that have already been through the process and know exactly what you need to do.

3. EASY TO SKIP AND REPEAT

If you get stuck on one part of the course or have a question about something, you don't have to sit through an entire lecture. You can skip to that section and rewatch it when you have time. This is a huge benefit compared to reading a book or doing a video where you need to sit through every word of the lecture.

4. LEARN IN YOUR SPARE TIME

You can learn something new without putting extra effort in. You can even watch an hour of a lecture and do the same thing at the end of the day. There is no pressure to put extra time in on top of your regular work.

5. GET AUTOMATIC LIFE SKILLS REPEATS AS LONG AS YOU WANT TO

An online course will build life skills that you will be able to use forever, without needing to repeat the class again.

Conclusion

Take an online course about how to make your content go viral. There are hundreds of courses out there, so choose one that is taught by the company that you are buying from or one with a teacher you can trust. I am sure you will benefit from it.

The best ways to share or distribute content

For business-to-business (B2B) content, I'd say email newsletters and company websites. They've worked for me.

For business-to-business (B2B) content, I'd say email newsletters and company websites. They've worked for me. For consumer audiences, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn have been pretty effective. And once you master one of these platforms, it's like a gateway drug to the others.

Twitter

Twitter is a great way to host conversations between consumers in your industry and grow the business. It's been the #1 social network of choice for B2B marketing for a long time, and still today, it remains one of the easiest to use platforms.

Beyond your Twitter account, feel free to reach out to me through my contact page on this site. I may be able to help you with your social media needs and offer you resources that I've found useful over the years of working in the area.

Best way to share content: Twitter

Here's my list of ways I've used successfully for sharing content at HealthGeek.com using Twitter over the last year.

  • Use an RSS or ATOM feed for tweets and repost content from other websites and blogs. You can also use "retweet" to share content from other people's accounts.

  • Add a call to action to your tweet, such as "read more about it here: http://link" or "read my latest post [link] #healthgeek".

  • Host a contest or giveaway: Create a poll, ask questions about your industry in the tweet, and mention all the participants with "@ mention". It's best to use one URL for all of these tweets as you can use the Twitter management tool, Buffer.com to schedule your tweets.

  • Join a Twitter chat: There are lots of these happening around the clock on different topics and using hashtags for the chats. You need a clean, professional account to engage in these. "TweetSmarter" has a good list here. If you run your own chat, you have to monitor it for spam and bots (automated accounts) or disable it completely at the end of each time block.

  • Jump on a conversation thread that you think your followers would be interested in or share a similar experience by retweeting or joining in on the tweet with a hashtag. This will help you engage and build relationships with others in your industry. The important thing to be mindful of is to not come across as spammy – use good etiquette when participating in conversation threads.

  • Direct message: You can DM other people in your industry if you're not sure whether your followers are interested in what you have to say.

  • Follow people in the industry that have similar conversations regularly, they will follow you back and often retweet content that helps them stay on top of trends.

  • Don't be afraid to insult, call out or debate on Twitter. I've seen this work well for getting attention and engaging other users in engaging conversation. Some of the people I follow on Twitter do this regularly. It's your choice about what you share and won't get deleted.

  • Mentions: Follow people in your industry, leave a comment on their blog or share something they wrote about at the top of their feed.

  • I can help you with Twitter engagement via email if you'd like to set up an account to use as a free trial for content promotion, I also offer social media training for online brands and businesses. You can contact me at colin@healthgeek.com with any questions or just talk to me about your needs.

Twitter is an amazing tool to promote content but go about this in a smart way. You don't want to spam your followers, so keep your tweets relevant and interesting.

To find the right audience for your content, start by looking at your industry. Then find the people most likely to be interested in what you have to say. Use Twitter's advanced search to find groups that talk about what you do and then follow them back.
